Baab Shikar Kerne, Zibah Kiye Jaane Walay Aur Un Janwaron Ka Bayan Jin Ka Gosht Khaya Ja Sakta Hai

وحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ، سَمِعَ الشَّعْبِيَّ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ مَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، فِيهِمْ سَعْدٌ، وَأُتُوا بِلَحْمِ ضَبٍّ، فَنَادَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ لَحْمُ ضَبٍّ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كُلُوا فَإِنَّهُ حَلَالٌ، وَلَكِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ طَعَامِي»،

Urdu Translation

  عبید اللہ کے والد معاذ نے کہا : ہمیں شعبہ نے تو بہ عنبری سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے شعبی سے سنا ، انھوں نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ آپ کے کچھ صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہ عنھم اجمعین تھے ۔ ان میں حضرت سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بھی تھے ۔ اتنے میں سانڈے کا گو شت لا یا گیا : اس وقت نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی کسی زوجہ نے یہ آواز دی کہ یہ سانڈے کا گوشت ہے ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : " کھاؤ ، بلا شبہ حلال ہے لیکن یہ میرے کھانے میں ( شامل ) نہیں ۔ "

English Translation

Ibn 'Umar reported that there were some persons with Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) from among his Companions, Sa'd being one of them. There was brought to them the flesh of the lizard when a lady amongst the wives of Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: It is the flesh of the lizard. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) said: Eat, for it is lawful, but it is not my diet.
