Baab Mashroobat Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَقَعَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَأْخُذْهَا فَلْيُمِطْ مَا كَانَ بِهَا مِنْ أَذًى وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ وَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ بِالْمِنْدِيلِ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ الْبَرَكَةُ

Urdu Translation

  عبداللہ بن نمیر نے کہا : ہمیں سفیان ( ثوری ) نے ابو زبیر سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھو ں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جب تم میں سے کسی شخص کالقمہ گر جائے تو وہ اسے ا ٹھا لےاور اس پر جو ناپسندیدہ چیز ( تنکا ، مٹی ) لگی ہے اس کو اچھی طرح صاف کرلے اور اسے کھالے ، اس لقمے کو شیطان کےلیے نہ چھوڑے ، اور جب تک اپنی انگلیوں کو چاٹ نہ لے ۔ اس وقت تک اپنے ہاتھ کو رومال سے صاف نہ کرے ، کیونکہ اسے معلوم نہیں کہ اس کے کھانے کے کس حصے میں برکت ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: When any one of you drops a mouthful he should pick it up and remove any of the filth on it, and then eat it, and should not leave it for the Satan, and should not wipe his hand with towel until he has licked his fingers, for he does not know in what portion of the food the blessing lies.
