Baab Mashroobat Ka Bayan

و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَكَلَ طَعَامًا لَعِقَ أَصَابِعَهُ الثَّلَاثَ قَالَ وَقَالَ إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيُمِطْ عَنْهَا الْأَذَى وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَسْلُتَ الْقَصْعَةَ قَالَ فَإِنَّكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِكُمْ الْبَرَكَةُ

Urdu Translation

  بہز نے کہا : ہمیں حماد بن سلمہ نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں ثابت نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جس وقت کھاناکھاتے تو ( آخر میں ) اپنی تین انگلیوں کو چاٹتے اور کہا : آپ نے فرمایا : " جب تم میں سے کسی کا لقمہ گر جائے تو وہ اس سے ناپسندیدہ چیز کو دور کرلے اور کھالے اور اس کو شیطان کے لئے نہ چھوڑے ۔ " اورآپ نے ہمیں پیالہ صاف کرنے کا حکم دیا اور فرمایا : " تم نہیں جانتے کہ تمھارے کھانے کے کس حصے میں برکت ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Anas reported that when Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) ate food he licked his three fingers, and he said: When any one of you drops a mouthful he should remove anything filthy from it and then eat it, and should not leave it for the Satan. He also commanded us that we should wipe the dish saying: You do not know in what portion of your food the blessing lies.
