حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ طَعَامُ الرَّجُلِ يَكْفِي رَجُلَيْنِ وَطَعَامُ رَجُلَيْنِ يَكْفِي أَرْبَعَةً وَطَعَامُ أَرْبَعَةٍ يَكْفِي ثَمَانِيَةً

Urdu Translation

  جریر نے اعمش سے ، انھوں نے ابو سفیان سے ، انھوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ، انھوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " ایک آدمی کا کھانا دو آدمیوں کے لئے کافی ہوجاتا ہے ۔ اور دو آدمیوں کا کھانا چا ر کے لئے کافی ہوجاتا ہے ۔ اور چار کا کھانا آٹھ کے لیے کافی ہوجاتا ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Food for one (person) suffices two, and food for two (persons) suffices four persons and food for four persons suffices eight persons.
