حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَبِي ذِبْيَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ أَلَا لَا تُلْبِسُوا نِسَاءَكُمْ الْحَرِيرَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْحَرِيرَ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ لَبِسَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ

Urdu Translation

  شعبہ نے خلیفہ بن کعب ابی زبیان سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ خطبہ دیتے ہوئے کہہ رہے تھے : سنو!اپنی عورتوں کو ریشم نہ پہناؤ کیونکہ میں نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بن خطاب کو ( یہ حدیث بیا ن کرتے ہوئے ) سنا ہے ، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " ر یشم نہ پہنو ، کیونکہ جس نے دنیا میں اسے پہنا وہ آخرت میں اس کو نہیں پہنے گا ۔ "

English Translation

Khalifa b. Ka'b AbCi Dhubyan reported: I heard 'Abdullah b. Zubair addressing the people and saying: Behold! do not dress yuor women with silk clothes for I heard 'Umar b. Khattab as sayinp that he had heard Allah's messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Do not wear silk, for one who wear it in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter.
