Baab Libaas Aur Zeenat Ke Ehkaam

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَإِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَمْرٍو قَالَ عَمْرٌو وَقُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ إِسْحَقُ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا تَزَوَّجْتُ أَتَّخَذْتَ أَنْمَاطًا قُلْتُ وَأَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ

Urdu Translation

  قتیبہ بن سعید ، عمروناقد اور اسحٰق بن ابرا ہیم نے کہا : ہمیں سفیان نے ابن منکدرسے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : جب میں نے شادی کی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے پو چھا : " کہا تم نے بچھونوں کے غلا ف بنا ئے ہیں ؟ " میں نے عرض کی ، ہمارے پاس غلا ف کہاں سے آئے ؟ آپ نے فرما یا : " اب عنقریب ہو ں گے ۔

English Translation

Jabir reported: When I was married, Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) asked me if I had got the carpet. I said: How can we have carpets? (i. e. I am so poor that I cannot even think of carpets). whereupon he said: You shall soon possess them.
