Baab Libaas Aur Zeenat Ke Ehkaam

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ح و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رُمْحٍ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَالِاحْتِبَاءِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَأَنْ يَرْفَعَ الرَّجُلُ إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى وَهُوَ مُسْتَلْقٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ

Urdu Translation

  لیث نے ابو زبیر سے ، انھوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہاتھ پاؤں وغیرہ کو بندکردینے والا لباس پہننے ، ایک کپڑے سےکمر اور گھٹنوں کو باندھنے اور چت لیٹ کر ایک پاؤں کو دوسرے کے اوپر ( رکھتے ہوئے اس کو ) اٹھانے سے منع فرمایا ۔

English Translation

Jabir reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) forbade the wrapping of oneself completely leaving no room for the arm and supporting oneself when sitting with a single garment wrapped round one's knees and a person raising one of his feet and placing it on the other while lying on his back.
