Baab Libaas Aur Zeenat Ke Ehkaam

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا وَلَدَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَتْ لِي يَا أَنَسُ انْظُرْ هَذَا الْغُلَامَ فَلَا يُصِيبَنَّ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَغْدُوَ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَنِّكُهُ قَالَ فَغَدَوْتُ فَإِذَا هُوَ فِي الْحَائِطِ وَعَلَيْهِ خَمِيصَةٌ حُوَيْتِيَّةٌ وَهُوَ يَسِمُ الظَّهْرَ الَّذِي قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْفَتْحِ

Urdu Translation

  محمد ( ابن سیرین ) نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سےروایت کی ، کہا : جب حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے ہاں بچہ پیدا ہوا تو انھوں نے مجھ سے کہا : انس !اس بچے کا دھیان رکھو ، اس کے منہ میں کو ئی چیز نہ جا ئے یہاں تک کہ صبح تم اس کو نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں لے جا ؤ آپ اسے گھٹی دیں گے ۔ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : کہ میں صبح کے وقت آیا ، اس وقت آپ باغ میں تھے ، آپ کے جسم پر ایک کا لے رنگ کی بنوجون کی بنا ئی ہو ئی منقش اونی چادر تھی اور آپ ان سواری کے جانوروں ( کے جسم ) پرنشان ثبت فر ما رہے تھے جو فتح مکہ کے زمانے میں ( فتح مکہ کے فوراً بعد جنگ حنین کے مو قع پر ) آپ کو حاصل ہو ئے تھے ۔

English Translation

Anas reported that Umm Sulaim gave birth to a child. She said to him: Anas, see that nothing is given to this child until he is brought to Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) in the morning, so that he should chew some dates and touch his palate with it. I went to him in the morning and he was in the garden at that time having the mantle of Jauniyya over him and he was bus in cauterising (the camels) which had been brought to him (as spoils of war) in victory (over the enemy).
