Baab Libaas Aur Zeenat Ke Ehkaam

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَعَبْدَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقُولُ إِنَّ زَوْجِي أَعْطَانِي مَا لَمْ يُعْطِنِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ

Urdu Translation

  حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ایک عورت نے کہا : اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! ( اگر ) میں یہ کہوں : مجھے ( یہ سب ) میرےخاوند نے دیا ہے جو اس نے نہیں دیا؟تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جو ( کھانا ) نہیں ملا ، خود کو اس سے سیر ظاہر کرنے والا ، جھوٹ کے دو کپڑے پہننے والے کی طرح ہے ۔ "

English Translation

A'isha reported that a woman said: Allah's Messenger, may I say to my (co-wife) that my husband has given me (such and such) a thing but which he has not in fact gives me? 'Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: The one who makes a false statement of that which one has not been given is like one who wears a garment of falsehood.
