Samura b. Jundub reported: Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) forbade us to give names to our servants as these four names: Aflah (Successful), Rabdh (Profit), Yasar (Wealth), and Nafi' (Beneficial).

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ الرُّكَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ و قَالَ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الرُّكَيْنَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ قَالَ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُسَمِّيَ رَقِيقَنَا بِأَرْبَعَةِ أَسْمَاءٍ أَفْلَحَ وَرَبَاحٍ وَيَسَارٍ وَنَافِعٍ

  معتمر بن سلیمان نے کہا : میں رُکین سے سنا ، وہ ا پنے والد سے حدیث بیان کررہے تھے ، انھوں نے حضرت سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں اپنے غلاموں کے یہ چار نام رکھنے سے منع فرمایا : افلح ( زیادہ کامیاب ) ، رباح ( منافع والا ) ، یسار ( آسانی والا ) اور نافع ( نفع پہنچانے والا )
