Baab Khawab Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِأَعْرَابِيٍّ جَاءَهُ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي حَلَمْتُ أَنَّ رَأْسِي قُطِعَ فَأَنَا أَتَّبِعُهُ، فَزَجَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ: «لَا تُخْبِرْ بِتَلَعُّبِ الشَّيْطَانِ بِكَ فِي الْمَنَامِ»

Urdu Translation

  ابو زبیر نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اور انھوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ اعرابی ( بدوی ) نے ، جو آپ کے پاس آیا تھا ، آپ سے عرض کی : میں نے خواب میں دیکھا ہے کہ میرا سرکٹ گیا ہے اور میں اس کے پیچھے بھاگ رہا ہوں ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے ڈانٹا اورفرمایا : " نیند کے عالم میں اپنے ساتھ شیطان کے کھیلنے کے بارے میں کسی کو مت بتاؤ ۔ "

English Translation

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: There came to him (the Holy Prophet) a desert Arab and said: I saw in a dream that I had been beheaded and I had been following it (the severed head). Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) reprimanded him saying: Do not inform about the vain sporting of devil with you during the night.
