Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Some persons from amongst my associates would turn to my Cistern; when I would see them and they would be presented to me, they would be detained in the way while coming to me. I would say: My Lord, they are my companions, they are my companions, and it would be said to me: You don't know what innovations they made after you.

وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الصَّفَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ صُهَيْبٍ، يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَيَرِدَنَّ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ رِجَالٌ مِمَّنْ صَاحَبَنِي، حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَيْتُهُمْ وَرُفِعُوا إِلَيَّ اخْتُلِجُوا دُونِي، فَلَأَقُولَنَّ: أَيْ رَبِّ أُصَيْحَابِي، أُصَيْحَابِي، فَلَيُقَالَنَّ لِي: إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

  عبد العزیز بن صہیب نے کہا : ہمیں حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حدیث بیان کی کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا " حوض پر میرے ساتھیوں میں سے کچھ آدمی آئیں گےحتی کہ جب میں انھیں دیکھوں گا اور ان کو میرے سامنے کیا جا ئے گا تو انھیں مجھ ( تک پہنچنے ) سے پہلے اٹھا لیا جا ئے ، میں زور دے کر کہوں گا : اے میرے رب! ( یہ ) میرے ساتھی ہیں میرے ساتھی ہیں تو مجھ سے کہا جا ئے گا ۔ آپ نہیں جانتے کہ انھوں نے آپ کےبعد کیا نئی باتیں نکا لیں ۔ "
