Ammar, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, reported that Ibn 'Abbas said that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) died when he had attained the age of sixty-five.

وحَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُفَضَّلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارٌ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، «تُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ»

  بشر بن مفضل نے کہا : ہمیں خالد حذاء نے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے کہا : ہمیں بنی ہاشم کے آزاد کردہ غلام عمارنے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے حدیث بیان کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہوئی آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پینسٹھ برس کے تھے ۔
