حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ، إِذْ رَأَيْتُ قَدَحًا أُتِيتُ بِهِ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ، فَشَرِبْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَرَى الرِّيَّ يَجْرِي فِي أَظْفَارِي، ثُمَّ أَعْطَيْتُ فَضْلِي عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ» قَالُوا: فَمَا أَوَّلْتَ ذَلِكَ؟ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: «الْعِلْمَ»

Urdu Translation

  یو نس نے کہا : کہ ابن شہاب نے انھیں بتا یا ، انھوں نےحمزہ بن عبد اللہ بن عمربن خطاب سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے اپنے والد سے انھوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا : " میں سویا ہوا تھا کہ میں نے ایک پیا لہ دیکھا جو میرے پاس لا یا گیا ۔ اس میں دودھ تھا ۔ میں نے اس میں سے پیا یہاں تک کہ مجھے محسوس ہوا کہ سیرابی میرے ناخنوں سے نکل رہی ہے ۔ پھر اپنا بچا ہوا دودھ میں نے عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو دے دیا ۔ " ( حاضرین نے ) کہا : اللہ کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! آپ نے اس کی کیا تعبیر فر ما ئی ؟آپ نے فرما یا : " علم ۔ "

English Translation

Hamza b. Abdullah b. 'Umar b. Khattab reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: While I was asleep I saw (in a dream) a cup containing milk being presented to me. I took out of that until I perceived freshness being reflected through my nails. Then I presented the leftover to 'Umar b. Khattab. They said: Allah's Messenger: How do you interpret it? He said: This implies knowledge.
