This hadlth has been narrated on the authority of Humaid b. Hilal with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition: As I came to Mecca, Unais said: (Well), go but be on your guard against the Meccans for they are his enemies and are annoyed with him.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، وَزَادَ بَعْدَ قَوْلِهِ - قُلْتُ فَاكْفِنِي حَتَّى أَذْهَبَ فَأَنْظُرَ - قَالَ: نَعَمْ، وَكُنْ عَلَى حَذَرٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ، فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ شَنِفُوا لَهُ وَتَجَهَّمُوا.

  ہمیں نضر بن شمیل نے خبر دی ، کہا : ہمیں سلیمان بن مغیرہ نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں حمید بن ہلال نے اسی سند کے ساتھ روایت کی اورابو زر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے قول : ۔ ۔ ۔ میں نے کہا : اب میری طرف سے تو ( سب کام ) سنبھال تاکہ میں جاؤں اور دیکھوں ۔ کے بعد مزید یہ کہا : اس نے کہا : ہاں اور اہل مکہ سے محتاط رہنا کیونکہہ وہ ان ( رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) سے نفرت کرنے لگے ہیں اور بُری طرح پیش آتے ہیں ۔
