Baab Paki Ka Bayan

وَحَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِيمَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ»

Urdu Translation

  جابر ( بن عبد اللہ ) ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے ابو ہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی کہ انہوں ( ابوہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ ) نے ان ( جابر ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ ) کو بتایا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص نیند سے بیدار ہو تو ( وضو کاپانی نکالنے کے لیے ) اپنے برتن میں ہاتھ ڈالنے سے پہلے تین بار اپنے ہاتھ پر پانی ڈالے ( اور ہاتھ دھوئے ) کیونکہ وہ نہیں جانتا اس کے ہاتھ نے کس ( حالت ) میں رات گزاری ۔ ‘ ‘

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported: The Apostle of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep, he should wash his hands three times before putting it in the utensil, for he does not know where his hand was during the night.
