حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَأَبُو مَعْنٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَتْ عِنْدَ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ يَتِيمَةٌ وَهِيَ أُمُّ أَنَسٍ فَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيَتِيمَةَ فَقَالَ آنْتِ هِيَهْ لَقَدْ كَبِرْتِ لَا كَبِرَ سِنُّكِ فَرَجَعَتْ الْيَتِيمَةُ إِلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ تَبْكِي فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ مَا لَكِ يَا بُنَيَّةُ قَالَتْ الْجَارِيَةُ دَعَا عَلَيَّ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا يَكْبَرَ سِنِّي فَالْآنَ لَا يَكْبَرُ سِنِّي أَبَدًا أَوْ قَالَتْ قَرْنِي فَخَرَجَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ مُسْتَعْجِلَةً تَلُوثُ خِمَارَهَا حَتَّى لَقِيَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَكِ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَدَعَوْتَ عَلَى يَتِيمَتِي قَالَ وَمَا ذَاكِ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَتْ زَعَمَتْ أَنَّكَ دَعَوْتَ أَنْ لَا يَكْبَرَ سِنُّهَا وَلَا يَكْبَرَ قَرْنُهَا قَالَ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَمَا تَعْلَمِينَ أَنَّ شَرْطِي عَلَى رَبِّي أَنِّي اشْتَرَطْتُ عَلَى رَبِّي فَقُلْتُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَرْضَى كَمَا يَرْضَى الْبَشَرُ وَأَغْضَبُ كَمَا يَغْضَبُ الْبَشَرُ فَأَيُّمَا أَحَدٍ دَعَوْتُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي بِدَعْوَةٍ لَيْسَ لَهَا بِأَهْلٍ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا لَهُ طَهُورًا وَزَكَاةً وَقُرْبَةً يُقَرِّبُهُ بِهَا مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ و قَالَ أَبُو مَعْنٍ يُتَيِّمَةٌ بِالتَّصْغِيرِ فِي الْمَوَاضِعِ الثَّلَاثَةِ مِنْ الْحَدِيثِ

Urdu Translation

  ) زہیر بن حرب اور ابومعن رقاشی نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ۔ ۔ اور الفاظ زہیر کے ہیں ۔ ۔ دونوں نے کہا : ہمیں عمر بن یونس نے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : ہمیں عکرمہ بن عمار نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں اسحق بن ابی طلحہ نے حدیث سنائی ، انہوں نے کہا : مجھے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس ایک یتیم لڑکی تھی اور یہی ( ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا ) ام انس بھی کہلاتی تھیں ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کو دیکھا تو فرمایا : "" تو وہی لڑکی ہے ، تو بڑی ہو گئی ہے! تیری عمر ( اس تیزی سے ) بڑی نہ ہو "" وہ لڑکی روتی ہوئی واپس حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس گئی ، حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے پوچھا : بیٹی! تجھے کیا ہوا؟ اس نے کہا : نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرے خلاف دعا فرما دی ہے کہ میری عمر زیادہ نہ ہو ، اب میری عمر کسی صورت زیادہ نہ ہو گی ، یا کہا : اب میرا زمانہ ہرگز زیادہ نہیں ہو گا ، حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا جلدی سے دوپٹہ لپیٹتے ہوئے نکلیں ، حتی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس حاضر ہوئیں ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے پوچھا : "" ام سلیم! کیا بات ہے؟ "" حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا : اللہ کے نبی! کیا آپ نے میری ( پالی ہوئی ) یتیم لڑکی کے خلاف دعا کی ہے؟ آپ نے پوچھا : "" یہ کیا بات ہے؟ "" حضرت ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا : وہ کہتی ہے : آپ نے دعا فرمائی ہے کہ اس کی عمر زیادہ نہ ہو ، اور اس کا زمانہ لمبا نہ ہو ، ( حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے ) کہا : تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہنسے ، پھر فرمایا : "" ام سلیم! کیا تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ میں نے اپنے رب سے پختہ عہد لیا ہے ، میں نے کہا : میں ایکبشر ہی ہوں ، جس طرح ایک بشر خوش ہوتا ہے ، میں بھی خوش ہوتا ہوں اور جس طرح بشر ناراض ہوتے ہیں میں بھی ناراض ہوتا ہوں ۔ تو میری امت میں سے کوئی بھی آدمی جس کے خلاف میں نے دعا کی اور وہ اس کا مستحق نہ تھا تو اس دعا کو قیامت کے دن اس کے لیے پاکیزگی ، گناہوں سے صفائی اور ایسی قربت بنا دے جس کے ذریعے سے تو اسے اپنے قریب فرما لے ۔ "" ابو معن نے کہا : حدیث میں تینوں جگہ ( یتیمہ کے بجائے ) تصغیر کے ساتھ يتيمة ( چھوٹی سی یتیم بچی کا لفظ ) ہے ۔

English Translation

Anas b. Malik reported that there was an orphan girl with Umm Sulaim (who was the mother of Anas). Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) saw that orphan girl and said: O, it is you; you have grown young. May you not advance in years! That slave-girl returned to Umm Sulaim weeping. Umm Sulaim said: O daughter, what is the matter with you? She said: Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) has invoked curse upon me that I should not grow in age and thus I would never grow in age, or she said, in my (length) of life. Umm Sulaim went out wrapping her head-dress hurriedly until she met Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ). He said to her: Umm Sulaim, what is the matter with you? She said: Allah's Apostle, you invoked curse upon my orphan girl. He said: Umm Sulaim, what is that? She said: She (the orphan girl) states you have cursed her saying that she might not grow in age or grow in life. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) smiled and then said: Umm Sulaim, don't you know that I have made this term with my Lord. And the term with my Lord is that I said to Him: 1 am a human being and I am pleased just as a human being is pleased and I lose temper just as a human being loses temper, so for any person from amongst my Ummah whom I curse and he in no way deserves it, let that, O Lord, be made a source of purification and purity and nearness to (Allah) on the Day of Resurrection.
