حَدَّثَنَا حَاجِبُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ قَالُوا فَالشَّدِيدُ أَيُّمَ هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ

Urdu Translation

  زبیدی نے زہری سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : مجھے حمید بن عبدالرحمٰن نے بتایا کہ حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ، آپ فرماتے تھے : " پچھاڑ دینے سے کوئی شخص طاقتور نہیں ہوتا ۔ " صحابہ نے پوچھا : اللہ کے رسول! پھر طاقت ور کون ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا : " جو غصے کے وقت خود کو قابو میں رکھتا ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported: I heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: One is not strong because of one's wrestling skillfully. They said: Allah's Messenger, then who is strong? He said: He who controls his anger when he is in a fit of rage.
