حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنِي حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رُبَّ أَشْعَثَ مَدْفُوعٍ بِالْأَبْوَابِ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ

Urdu Translation

  حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " بہت سے غبار میں اٹے ہوئے ( غریب الوطن ، مسافر ) بکھرے ہوئے بالوں والے ، دروازوں سے دھتکار دیے جانے والے لوگ ایسے ہیں کہ اگر ان میں سے کوئی اللہ تعالیٰ پر ( اعتماد کر کے ) قسم کھا لے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی قسم پوری کر دیتا ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) as saying: Many a person with disheveled hair and covered with dust is turned away from the doors (whereas he is held in such a high esteem by Allah) that if he were to adjure in the name of Allah (about anything) Allah would fulfil that.
