حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ كَانَ لِمُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ امْرَأَتَانِ فَجَاءَ مِنْ عِنْدِ إِحْدَاهُمَا فَقَالَتْ الْأُخْرَى جِئْتَ مِنْ عِنْدِ فُلَانَةَ فَقَالَ جِئْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَقَلَّ سَاكِنِي الْجَنَّةِ النِّسَاءُ

Urdu Translation

  معاذ نے کہا : ہمیں شعبہ نے ابوتیاح سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : مطرف بن عبداللہ کی دو بیویاں تھیں ، وہ ایک بیوی کے پاس سے آئے تو دوسری نے کہا : تم فلاں عورت ( دوسری بیوی کا نام لیا ) کے پاس سے آئے ہو؟ انہوں نے کہا : میں حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس سے ( بھی ہو کر ) آیا ہوں اور انہوں نے ہمیں یہ حدیث بیان کی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جنت میں رہنے والوں میں سب سے کم تعداد عورتوں کی ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Imran b. Husain reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Amongst the inmates of Paradise the women would form a minority.
