Baab Tauba Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ يَحْيَى وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغَارُ وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يَغَارُ وَغَيْرَةُ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ

Urdu Translation

  حجاج بن ابی عثمان نے کہا : یحییٰ ( بن ابی کثیر ) نے کہا : مجھے ابوسلمہ نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " اللہ تعالیٰ غیرت فرماتا ہے اور بےشک مومن بھی غیرت کرتا ہے ۔ اللہ کی غیرت اس بات پر ہوتی ہے کہ مومن ایسے کام کا ارتکاب کرے جو اس نے اس پر حرام کیا ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Allah is self-respecting and a believer is also self-respecting and the respect of Allah is injured if a believer does what He has forbidden him to do.
