حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَإِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ إِسْحَقُ أَخْبَرَنَا و قَالَ عُثْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ أَيِسَ أَنْ يَعْبُدَهُ الْمُصَلُّونَ فِي جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَلَكِنْ فِي التَّحْرِيشِ بَيْنَهُمْ

Urdu Translation

  جریر نےاعمش سے ، انھوں نے ابو سفیان سے اور انھوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا میں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا : " شیطان اس بات سے ناامید ہوگیا ہے کہ جزیر ہ عرب میں نماز پڑھنے والے اس کی عبادت کریں گے لیکن وہ ان کے درمیان لڑائی جھگڑے کرانے سے ( مایوس نہیں ہوا ۔ )

English Translation

Jabir reported: I heard Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Verily, the Satan has lost all hopes that the worshippers would ever worship (him) in the peninsula of Arabia, but he (is hopeful) that he would sow the seed of dissension amongst them.
