حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةٍ قَالَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَغْرِبِ عَلَيْهِمْ ثِيَابُ الصُّوفِ فَوَافَقُوهُ عِنْدَ أَكَمَةٍ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَقِيَامٌ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدٌ قَالَ فَقَالَتْ لِي نَفْسِي ائْتِهِمْ فَقُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ لَا يَغْتَالُونَهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ لَعَلَّهُ نَجِيٌّ مَعَهُمْ فَأَتَيْتُهُمْ فَقُمْتُ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ قَالَ فَحَفِظْتُ مِنْهُ أَرْبَعَ كَلِمَاتٍ أَعُدُّهُنَّ فِي يَدِي قَالَ تَغْزُونَ جَزِيرَةَ الْعَرَبِ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ فَارِسَ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ الرُّومَ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ الدَّجَّالَ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ نَافِعٌ يَا جَابِرُ لَا نَرَى الدَّجَّالَ يَخْرُجُ حَتَّى تُفْتَحَ الرُّومُ

Urdu Translation

  عبدالملک بن عمیر نے جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اور انھوں نے حضرت نافع بن عتبہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : ہم ایک جہاد میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس کچھ لوگ مغرب کی طرف سے آئے جو اون کے کپڑے پہنے ہوئے تھے ۔ وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایک ٹیلے کے پاس آ کر ملے ۔ وہ لوگ کھڑے تھے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیٹھے ہوئے تھے ۔ میرے دل نے کہا کہ تو چل اور ان لوگوں اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے درمیان میں جا کر کھڑا ہو ، ایسا نہ ہو کہ یہ لوگ فریب سے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو مار ڈالیں ۔ پھر میرے دل نے کہا کہ شاید آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم چپکے سے کچھ باتیں ان سے کرتے ہوں ( اور میرا جانا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ناگوار گزرے ) ۔ پھر میں گیا اور ان لوگوں کے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے درمیان میں کھڑا ہو گیا ۔ پس میں نے اس وقت آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے چار باتیں یاد کیں ، جن کو میں اپنے ہاتھ پر گنتا ہوں ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم پہلے تو عرب کے جزیرہ میں ( کافروں سے ) جہاد کرو گے ، اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو فتح کر دے گا ۔ پھر فارس ( ایران ) سے جہاد کرو گے ، اللہ تعالیٰ اس پر بھی فتح کر دے گا پھر نصاریٰ سے لڑو گے روم والوں سے ، اللہ تعالیٰ روم کو بھی فتح کر دے گا ۔ پھر دجال سے لڑو گے اور اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو بھی فتح کر دے گا ( یہ حدیث آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا بڑا معجزہ ہے ) ۔ نافع نے کہا کہ اے جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ! ہم سمجھتے ہیں کہ دجال روم فتح ہونے کے بعد ہی نکلے گا ۔

English Translation

Nafi' b. Utba reported: We were with Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) in an expedition that there came a people to Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) from the direction of the west. They were dressed in woollen clothes and they stood near a hillock and they met him as Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) was sitting. I said to myself: Better go to them and stand between him and them that they may not attack him. Then I thought that perhaps there had been going on secret negotiation amongst them. I however, went to them and stood between them and him and I remember four of the words (on that occasion) which I repeat (on the fingers of my hand) that he (Allah's Messenger) said: You will attack Arabia and Allah will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack Persia and He would make you to conquer it. Then you would attack Rome and Allah will enable you to conquer it, then you would attack the Dajjal and Allah will enable you to conquer him. Nafi' said: Jabir, we thought that the Dajjal would appear after Rome (Syrian territory) would be conquered.
