Sunan Abu Dawood 1000 - Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الطَّائِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالنَّاسُ رَافِعُوا أَيْدِيهِمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ:‏‏‏‏ أُرَاهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيكُمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ خَيْلٍ شُمْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أُسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ .

Urdu Translation

جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اس حال میں کہ لوگ نماز میں اپنے ہاتھ اٹھائے ہوئے تھے تو آپ نے فرمایا: مجھے کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ میں تمہیں اپنے ہاتھ اٹھائے ہوئے دیکھ رہا ہوں، گویا کہ وہ شریر گھوڑوں کی دم ہیں؟ نماز میں سکون سے رہا کرو ۔

English Translation

Jabir bin Samurah said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم entered upon us while the people were raising their hands. The narrator Zubair said: I think ( they were raising the hands) during prayer. He (the prophet) said: What is the matter, I see you raising your hands as if they are the tails of restive horses! Maintain tranquility during prayer.
