حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم اسے ( یعنی شب قدر کو ) رمضان کے آخری دس دنوں میں تلاش کرو جب نو راتیں باقی رہ جائیں ( یعنی اکیسویں شب کو ) اور جب سات راتیں باقی رہ جائیں ( یعنی تئیسویں شب کو ) اور جب پانچ راتیں باقی رہ جائیں ( یعنی پچیسویں شب کو ) ۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Seek laitat al-Qadr in the last ten night of Ramadan. When nine (nights) remain (i. e. on the twenty first), when seven (night) remain (i. e. on the twenty third), and when five (nights) remain (i. e. on the twenty fifth).
