حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِهَا وَهُوَ مَسْرُورٌ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيَّ وَهُوَ كَئِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي دَخَلْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا دَخَلْتُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ أَكُونَ قَدْ شَقَقْتُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس سے نکلے اور آپ خوش تھے پھر میرے پاس آئے اور آپ غمگین تھے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں کعبے کے اندر گیا اگر مجھے وہ بات پہلے معلوم ہو جاتی جو بعد میں معلوم ہوئی ۱؎ تو میں اس میں داخل نہ ہوتا، مجھے اندیشہ ہے کہ میں نے اپنی امت کو زحمت میں ڈال دیا ہے ۲؎ ۔

English Translation

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم went out from me, while he was happy, but he returned to me while he was sad. He said: I entered the Kabah, I know beforehand about my affair what I have come to know later I would not have entered it. I am afraid I have put my community to hardship.
