حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ابْنَ حَرْشَفٍ الْأَزْدِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَن بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا نَأْكُلُ الْجَزَرَ فِي الْغَزْوِ وَلَا نَقْسِمُهُ حَتَّى إِنْ كُنَّا لَنَرْجِعُ إِلَى رِحَالِنَا وَأَخْرِجَتُنَا مِنْهُ مُمْلاةٌ.

Urdu Translation

بعض صحابہ کرام سے روایت ہے کہ   ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں غزوات میں گاجر کھاتے تھے، ہم اسے تقسیم نہیں کرتے تھے یہاں تک کہ ہم اپنے مکانوں کی طرف لوٹتے اور ہمارے برتن اس سے بھرے ہوتے تھے۔

English Translation

Narrated One of the Companion: Al-Qasim, the client of Abdur Rahman, quoted one of the Companion of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: We would eat a camel on an expedition without dividing it, and when we returned to our dwellings our saddle-bags would be full with its flesh.
