Sunan Abu Dawood 2726 - Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاق الْفَزَارِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ كُلَيْبِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْحَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ،‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ انْطَلَقَ فِي حَاجَةِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَاجَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنِّي أُبَايِعُ لَهُفَضَرَبَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَهْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَضْرِبْ لِأَحَدٍ غَابَ غَيْرَهُ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے یعنی بدر کے دن اور فرمایا: بیشک عثمان اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی ضرورت سے رہ گئے ہیں ۱؎ اور میں ان کی طرف سے بیعت کرتا ہوں ، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے لیے حصہ مقرر کیا اور ان کے علاوہ کسی بھی غیر موجود شخص کو نہیں دیا۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم stood up, i. e. on the day of Badr, and said: Uthman has gone off on the business of Allah and His Messenger, and I shall take the oath of allegiance on his behalf. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم then allotted him a share, but did not do so for anyone else who was absent.
