حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أُبَيٍّ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عَرَفَ فِيهِ الْمَوْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَنْهَاكَ عَنْ حُبِّ يَهُودَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَهُمْ أسْعَدُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ فَمَهْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَتَاهُ ابْنُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أُبَيٍّ قَدْ مَاتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعْطِنِي قَمِيصَكَ أُكَفِّنْهُ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَنَزَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَمِيصَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ.

Urdu Translation

اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عبداللہ بن ابی کے مرض الموت میں اس کی عیادت کے لیے نکلے، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کے پاس پہنچے تو اس کی موت کو بھانپ لیا، فرمایا: میں تجھے یہود کی دوستی سے منع کرتا تھا ، اس نے کہا: عبداللہ بن زرارہ نے ان سے بغض رکھا تو کیا پایا، جب عبداللہ بن ابی مر گیا تو اس کے لڑکے ( عبداللہ ) آپ کے پاس آئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! عبداللہ بن ابی مر گیا، آپ مجھے اپنی قمیص دے دیجئیے تاکہ اس میں میں اسے کفنا دوں، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے اپنی قمیص اتار کر دے دی۔

English Translation

Narrated Usamah bin Zaid: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم went out to visit Abdullah bin Ubayy during his illness of which he died. When he entered upon him, he realised death on him. He said: I used to forbid you from the love of Jews. He (Abdullah) said: Asad bin Zurarah hated them. So what (the benefited) ? When he died, his son came and said: Prophet of Allah, Abdullah bin Ubayy has died, give me your shirt, so that I shroud him in it. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم took off his shirt and gave it to him.
