Baab Ghulam Ki Azadi Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَبَّابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ مُصْعَبَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ إِلَّا نَمِرَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كُنَّا إِذَا غَطَّيْنَا بِهَا رَأْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏خَرَجَ رِجْلَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رِجْلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏خَرَجَ رَأْسُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ غَطُّوا بِهَا رَأْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاجْعَلُوا عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْإِذْخِرِ .

Urdu Translation

خباب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مصعب بن عمیر رضی اللہ عنہ جنگ احد میں قتل ہو گئے تو انہیں کفن دینے کے لیے ایک کملی کے سوا اور کچھ میسر نہ آیا، اور وہ کملی بھی ایسی چھوٹی تھی کہ جب ہم اس سے ان کا سر ڈھانپتے تو پیر کھل جاتے تھے، اور اگر ان کے دونوں پیر ڈھانپتے تو سر کھل جاتا تھا، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کملی سے ان کا سر ڈھانپ دو اور پیروں پر کچھ اذخر ( گھاس ) ڈال دو ۔

English Translation

Narrated Khabbab: Musab bin Umari was killed on the day of Uhud. He had only a striped cloak. When we covered his head with it, his feet appeared, and when we covered his feet, his head appeared. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Cover his head with it, and cover his feet with some grass.
