حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَجَاءٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ الْأَزْرَقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ كِنْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ جَالِسٌ فِي حَلْقَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَا:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا رَجُلٌ يُنَفِّذُ بَيْنَنَا ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْحَلْقَةِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخَذَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ كَفًّا مِنْ حَصًى فَرَمَاهُ بِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَهْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ يُكْرَهُ التَّسَرُّعُ إِلَى الْحُكْمِ .

Urdu Translation

عبدالرحمٰن بن بشر انصاری ازرق کہتے ہیں کہ   کندہ کے دروازوں سے دو شخص جھگڑتے ہوئے آئے اور ابومسعود انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ ایک حلقے میں بیٹھے ہوئے تھے، تو ان دونوں نے کہا: کوئی ہے جو ہمارے درمیان فیصلہ کر دے! حلقے میں سے ایک شخص بول پڑا: ہاں، میں فیصلہ کر دوں گا، ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک مٹھی کنکری لے کر اس کو مارا اور کہا: ٹھہر ( عہد نبوی میں ) قضاء میں جلد بازی کو مکروہ سمجھا جاتا تھا ۱؎۔

English Translation

Abdur Rahman ibn Bishr al-Ansari al-Azraq said: Two men from the locality of Kindah came while Abu Masud al-Ansari was sitting n a circle. They said: Is there any man who decides between us. A man from the circle said: I, Abu Masud took a handful of pebbles and threw at him, saying: Hush! It is disapproved to make haste in decision.
