Sunan Abu Dawood 3897 - Medicine (Kitab Al-Tibb)

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ،‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي. ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ قَالَ فَرَقَاهُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ غُدْوَةً وَعَشِيَّةً كُلَّمَا خَتَمَهَا جَمَعَ بُزَاقَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ تَفَلَ فَكَأَنَّمَا أُنْشِطَ مِنْ عِقَالٍ فَأَعْطَوْهُ شَيْئًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ مُسَدَّدٍ.

Urdu Translation

خارجہ بن صلت سے روایت ہے، وہ اپنے چچا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ   وہ ( کچھ لوگوں پر سے ) گزرے ( ان میں ایک دیوانہ شخص تھا ) جس پر وہ صبح و شام فاتحہ پڑھ کر تین دن تک دم کرتے رہے، جب سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھ چکتے تو اپنا تھوک جمع کر کے اس پر تھو تھو کر دیتے، پھر وہ اچھا ہو گیا جیسے کوئی رسیوں میں جکڑا ہوا کھل جائے، تو ان لوگوں نے ایک چیز دی تو وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، پھر انہوں نے وہی بات ذکر کی جو مسدد کی حدیث میں ہے۔

English Translation

Kharijah bin al-Salt quoted his parental uncle as saying that he passed (some people): He recited Surat al-Fatihah over him for three days morning and evening. Whenever he finished it, he collected some of his saliva and spat it out, and he seemed as if he were set free from a bond. They gave him something as payment. He then came to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He then transmitted the rest of the tradition to the same effect as Musaddad narrated.
