حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صُدْرَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ وَكَانَ لَا يَصْعَدُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ قَبْلَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَابْنُ صُدْرَانَ بَصْرِيٌّ غَرِقَ فِي الْبَحْرِ مَعَ ابْنِ مِسْوَرٍ لَمْ يَسْلَمْ مِنْهُمْ غَيْرُهُ.

Urdu Translation

فاطمہ بنت قیس رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ظہر پڑھی، پھر آپ منبر پر چڑھے، اس سے پہلے آپ صرف جمعہ ہی کو منبر پر چڑھتے تھے، پھر راوی نے اسی قصہ کا ذکر کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Fatimah, daughter of Qais, said: The prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم offered the noon prayer and ascended the pulpit. Before this day he did not ascend it except on Friday. He then narrated this story. Abu Dawud said: Ibn Sudran belongs to Basrah. He was drowned in the sea along with Ibn Miswar, and no one could escape except him.
