Sunan Abu Dawood 4791 - General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بِئْسَ ابْنُ الْعَشِيرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ بِئْسَ رَجُلُ الْعَشِيرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ائْذَنُوا لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أَلَانَ لَهُ الْقَوْلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَنْتَ لَهُ الْقَوْلَ وَقَدْ قُلْتَ لَهُ مَا قُلْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ شَرَّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَنْزِلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ وَدَعَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ تَرَكَهُ النَّاسُ لِاتِّقَاءِ فُحْشِهِ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ( اندر آنے کی ) اجازت طلب کی تو آپ نے فرمایا: اپنے خاندان کا لڑکا یا خاندان کا آدمی برا شخص ہے پھر فرمایا: اسے اجازت دے دو، جب وہ اندر آ گیا تو آپ نے اس سے نرمی سے گفتگو کی، اس پر عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے اس سے نرم گفتگو کی حالانکہ آپ اس کے متعلق ایسی ایسی باتیں کہہ چکے تھے، آپ نے فرمایا: لوگوں میں سب سے برا شخص اللہ کے نزدیک قیامت کے دن وہ ہو گا جس سے لوگوں نے اس کی فحش کلامی سے بچنے کے لیے علیحدگی اختیار کر لی ہو یا اسے چھوڑ دیا ہو ۔

English Translation

Aishah said: A man asked permission to see the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, and he said: He is a bad son of the tribe, or: He is a bad member of the tribe. He then said: Give him permission. Then when he entered, he spoke to him leniently. Aishah asked: Messenger of Allah! You spoke to him leniently while you said about him what you said! He replied: The one who will have the worst position in Allah’s estimation on the day of resurrection will be the one whom people left alone for fear of his ribaldry.
