Sunan Abu Dawood 4808 - General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّازُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْبَدَاوَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْدُو إِلَى هَذِهِ التِّلَاعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّهُ أَرَادَ الْبَدَاوَةَ مَرَّةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ نَاقَةً مُحَرَّمَةً مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لِي:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَائِشَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ارْفُقِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا زَانَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نُزِعَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا شَانَهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ:‏‏‏‏ مُحَرَّمَةٌ يَعْنِي:‏‏‏‏ لَمْ تُرْكَبْ.

Urdu Translation

شریح کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے دیہات ( بادیہ ) جانے، وہاں قیام کرنے کے بارے میں پوچھا ( کہ کیسا ہے ) آپ نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان نالوں کی طرف دیہات ( بادیہ ) جایا کرتے تھے، ایک بار آپ نے باہر دیہات ( بادیہ ) جانے کا ارادہ کیا تو میرے پاس زکوٰۃ کے اونٹوں میں سے ایک اونٹنی بھیجی، جس پر سواری نہیں کی گئی تھی، اور مجھ سے فرمایا: اے عائشہ! نرمی کرو، اس لیے کہ جس چیز میں نرمی ہوتی ہے، اسے زینت دیتی ہے اور جس چیز سے بھی نکل جاتی ہے، اسے عیب دار بنا دیتی ہے۔ ابن الصباح اپنی حدیث میں کہتے ہیں: «محرمۃ» سے مراد وہ اونٹنی ہے جس پر سواری نہ کی گئی ہو۔

English Translation

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Al-Miqdam ibn Shurayh, quoting his father, said: I asked Aishah about living in the desert. She said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to go to the desert to these rivulets. Once he intended to go to the desert and he sent to me a she-camel from the camel of sadaqah which had not been used for riding so far. He said to me: Aishah! show gentleness, for if gentleness is found in anything, it beautifies it and when it is taken out from anything it damages it. Ibn al-Sabbah said in his version: Muharramah means a mount which has not been used for riding.
