Sunan Abu Dawood 4840 - General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ زَعَمَ الْوَلِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قُرَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ كُلُّ كَلَامٍ لَا يُبْدَأُ فِيهِ بِالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ أَجْذَمُ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَاهُ يُونُسُ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَقِيلٌ،‏‏‏‏وَشُعَيْبٌ،‏‏‏‏ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہر وہ کلام جس کی ابتداء الحمدللہ ( اللہ کی تعریف ) سے نہ ہو تو وہ ناقص و ناتمام ہے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسے یونس، عقیل، شعیب، اور سعید بن عبدالعزیز نے زہری سے انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مرسلاً روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Every important matter which is not begun by an expression of praise to Allah is maimed. Abu Dawud said: It has also been transmitted by Yunus, Aqil, Shuaib, Saeed bin Abd al-Aziz from al-Zuhri from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in Mursal form (the link of the Companion is missing).
