حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا. ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّكُمْ تُدْعَوْنَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَسْمَائِكُمْ وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَحْسِنُوا أَسْمَاءَكُمْ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أبو داود:‏‏‏‏ ابْنُ أَبِى زَكَرِيَّا لَمْ يُدْرِكْ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ.

Urdu Translation

ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قیامت کے دن تم اپنے اور اپنے باپ دادا کے ناموں کے ساتھ پکارے جاؤ گے، تو اپنے نام اچھے رکھا کرو ۱؎ ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: ابن ابی زکریا نے ابودرداء کا زمانہ نہیں پایا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abud Darda: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: On the Day of Resurrection you will be called by your names and by your father's names, so give yourselves good names.
