حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ. ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ مُطَهَّرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْمَعْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَخْبَرَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ حَفْصٌ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَقْطَعُ صَلَاةَ الرَّجُلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَا:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ:‏‏‏‏ يَقْطَعُ صَلَاةَ الرَّجُلِ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ قَيْدُ آخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ الْحِمَارُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا بَالُ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْأَحْمَرِ مِنَ الْأَصْفَرِ مِنَ الْأَبْيَضِ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا سَأَلْتَنِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ شَيْطَانٌ .

Urdu Translation

ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ (حفص کی روایت میں ہے)   ) کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اور سلیمان کی روایت میں ہے کہ ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا جب آدمی کے سامنے کجاوہ کے اگلے حصہ کی لکڑی کے برابر کوئی چیز نہ ہو، تو گدھے، کالے کتے اور عورت کے گزر جانے سے اس کی نماز ٹوٹ جائے گی ۱؎۔ میں نے عرض کیا: سرخ، زرد یا سفید رنگ کے کتے کے مقابلے میں کالے کتے کی کیا وجہ ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: میرے بھتیجے! میں نے بھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایسے ہی پوچھا تھا جیسے تم نے مجھ سے پوچھا ہے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کالا کتا شیطان ہے ۔

English Translation

Hafs reported that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying, and the other version of this tradition transmitted through a different chain has: Abu Dharr said (and not the Prophet): If there is not anything like the back of a saddle in front of a man who is praying, then a donkey, a black dog, and a woman cut off his prayer. I asked him: Why has the black dog been specified, distinguishing it from a red, a yellow and a white dog? He replied: My nephew, I also asked the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم the same question as you asked me. He said: The black dog is a devil.
