Narrated Uqbah ibn Amir: When Glorify the name of your mighty Lord was revealed, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Use it when bowing, and when Glorify the name of your most high Lord was revealed, he said: Use it when prostrating yourself.

حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمَعْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَة مُوسَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ: عَنْ عَمِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ سورة الواقعة آية 74، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اجْعَلُوهَا فِي رُكُوعِكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى سورة الأعلى آية 1، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اجْعَلُوهَا فِي سُجُودِكُمْ .

عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں   جب آیت کریمہ: «فسبح باسم ربك العظيم» اپنے بہت بڑے رب کے نام کی تسبیح کیا کرو ( سورۃ الواقعۃ: ۷۴ ) نازل ہوئی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسے اپنے رکوع میں کر لو ، پھر جب «سبح اسم ربك الأعلى» اپنے بہت ہی بلند رب کے نام پاکیزگی بیان کرو ( سورۃ الاعلی: ۱ ) اتری تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسے اپنے سجدے میں کر لو ۔
