حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ. ح وحَدَّثَنَاتَمِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْتَصِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يُوسُفَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شَرِيكٍ. ح حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ كُلُّهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ إِسْرَائِيلَ لَمْ يُفَسِّرْهُ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَاهُ زُهَيْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ،‏‏‏‏وَيَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَلْقَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ شُعْبَةُ كَانَ يُنْكِرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدِيثَ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أَنْ يَكُونَ مَرْفُوعًا.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے دائیں اور بائیں السلام عليكم ورحمة الله، السلام عليكم ورحمة الله کہتے ہوئے سلام پھیرتے یہاں تک کہ آپ کی گال کی سفیدی دکھائی دیتی۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ سفیان کی روایت کے الفاظ ہیں اور اسرائیل کی حدیث سفیان کی حدیث کی مفسر نہیں ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اور اسے زہیر نے ابواسحاق سے اور یحییٰ بن آدم نے اسرائیل سے، اسرائیل نے ابواسحاق سے، ابواسحاق نے عبدالرحمٰن بن اسود سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد اسود اور علقمہ سے روایت کیا ہے، اور ان دونوں نے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے ۱؎۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: شعبہ ابواسحاق کی اس حدیث کے مرفوع ہونے کے منکر تھے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to give the salutation to his left and right sides until the whiteness of his cheek was seen, (saying: Peace be upon you, and mercy of Allah twice. Abu Dawud said: This is a version of the tradition reported by Abu Sufyan. The version of Isra'il did not explain it. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been narrated by Zubayr from Abu Ishaq and Yahya ibn Adam from Isra'il from Abu Ishaq from Abdur Rahman ibn al-Aswad from his father from Alqamah on the authority of Abdullah ibn Masud. Abu Dawud said: Shubah used to reject this tradition, the tradition narrated by Abu Ishaq as coming from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.
