It was narrated that 'Ali said: The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade me from wearing A-Qassi and silk, and gold rings, and from reciting Qur'an when bowing.

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ نَهَانِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقَسِّيِّ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَخَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ وَأَنْ أَقْرَأَ وَأَنَا رَاكِعٌ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى:‏‏‏‏ وَأَنْ أَقْرَأَ رَاكِعًا .

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مجھے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قسی ۱؎ اور حریر ۲؎ اور سونے کی انگوٹھی پہننے سے روکا ہے، اور اس بات سے بھی کہ میں رکوع کی حالت میں قرآن پڑھوں۔ دوسری بار راوی نے «أن أقرأ وأنا راكع» کے بجائے «أن أقرأ راكعا» کہا۔
