It was narrated that 'Ali said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade me from wearing gold rings, and Al-Qassi, and clothes dyed with safflower, and reciting Qur'an while I am bowing.

أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ زُغْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ اللَّيْثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّأَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ وَعَنْ لَبُوسِ الْقَسِّيِّ وَالْمُعَصْفَرِ وَقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ وَأَنَا رَاكِعٌ .

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے سونے کی انگوٹھی سے اور قسی کے بنے ریشمی کپڑے، کسم میں رنگے کپڑے پہننے سے، اور رکوع کی حالت میں قرآن پڑھنے سے منع کیا ہے۔
