أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْمُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَارِجَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلُّوا عَلَيَّ وَاجْتَهِدُوا فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَقُولُوا:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ .

Urdu Translation

موسیٰ بن طلحہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے زید بن خارجہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا، تو آپ نے فرمایا:  مجھ پر صلاۃ ( درود و رحمت )  بھیجو، اور دعا میں کوشش کرو، اور کہو: «اللہم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد»  اے اللہ! صلاۃ  ( درود و رحمت )  بھیج محمد پر اور آل محمد پر ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Musa bin Talha said: I asked Zaid bin Kharijah who said: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said: Send salah upon me and strive hard in supplication, and say: Alahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala ali Muhammad (O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad).'
