أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَمٍّ لَهُ بَدْرِيّ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلَّى وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْمُقُهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَنَحْنُ لَا نَشْعُرُ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَقْبَلَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ارْجِعْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ فَرَجَعَ فَصَلَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ارْجِعْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ الرَّجُلُ وَالَّذِي أَكْرَمَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ جَهِدْتُ فَعَلِّمْنِي،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا قُمْتَ تُرِيدُ الصَّلَاةَ فَتَوَضَّأْ فَأَحْسِنْ وُضُوءَكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ فَكَبِّرْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اقْرَأْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ ارْكَعْ فَاطْمَئِنَّ رَاكِعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ حَتَّى تَعْتَدِلَ قَائِمًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اسْجُدْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ سَاجِدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ قَاعِدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اسْجُدْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ سَاجِدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ افْعَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى تَفْرُغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِكَ .

Urdu Translation

یحییٰ اپنے چچا بدری صحابی سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے ان سے بیان کیا کہ ایک آدمی مسجد میں آیا اور نماز پڑھنے لگا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اسے دیکھ رہے تھے، اور ہم نہیں سمجھ رہے تھے، جب وہ نماز پڑھ کر فارغ ہوا، تو وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، اور آ کر اس نے آپ کو سلام کیا، آپ نے  ( جواب دینے کے بعد )  فرمایا:  واپس جاؤ دوبارہ نماز پڑھو کیونکہ تم نے نماز نہیں پڑھی ہے ، چنانچہ وہ واپس گیا، اور اس نے پھر سے نماز پڑھی، پھر وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پھر فرمایا:  واپس جاؤ اور پھر سے نماز پڑھو کیونکہ تم نے  ( ابھی بھی )  نماز نہیں پڑھی ہے ، دو یا تین بار ایسا ہوا تو اس آدمی نے آپ سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو عزت دی ہے، میں اپنی بھر کوشش کر چکا ہوں لہٰذا آپ مجھے سکھا دیجئیے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  جب تم نماز پڑھنے کا ارادہ کرو تو وضو کرو اور اچھی طرح سے وضو کرو، پھر قبلہ رو ہو کر تکبیر تحریمہ کہو، پھر قرآن پڑھو، پھر رکوع کرو اور اطمینان سے رکوع کرو، پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھاؤ یہاں تک کہ سیدھے کھڑے ہو جاؤ پھر سجدہ کرو یہاں تک کہ اطمینان سے سجدہ کر لو، پھر سجدہ سے سر اٹھاؤ یہاں تک کہ اطمینان سے بیٹھ جاؤ، پھر سجدہ کرو یہاں تک کہ اطمینان سے سجدہ کر لو، پھر سر اٹھاؤ، پھر اس کے بعد دوسری رکعت میں اسی طرح کرو یہاں تک کہ تم نماز سے فارغ ہو جاؤ ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Ali- who is bin Yahya- from his father that: A paternal uncle of his who was present at Badr told him, that a man entered the masjid and prayed, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was watching, but we did not realize. When he had finished, he came and greeted the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with salam. He said: Go back and pray, for you have not prayed. So he went back and prayed, then he came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said: Go back and pray, for you have not prayed. (This happened) two or three times. Then the man said to him: By the One who has honored you , O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I have tried my best; teach me. He said: When you get up to pray, perform wudu and do it well, then turn to face the Qiblah and say the takbir. Then recite the Quran, then bow until you are at ease in bowing. Then stand up until you are standing straight, then prostrate until you are at ease prostrating, then sit up until you are at ease sitting, then prostrate until you are at ease prostrating, then get up, and continue doing that until you have finished your prayer.
