Abdullah bin 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abbas said: We were sitting with 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas and he said: 'By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not say specifically anything for us above the people, except for three things: He commanded us to do Wudu' properly, [2] not to consume charity, and not to mate donkeys with horses.' أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَهْضَمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّهِ مَا خَصَّنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ دُونَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا بِثَلَاثَةِ أَشْيَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهُ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُسْبِغَ الْوُضُوءَ وَلَا نَأْكُلَ الصَّدَقَةَ وَلَا نُنْزِيَ الْحُمُرَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ .

عبداللہ بن عبیداللہ بن عباس کہتے ہیں کہ   ہم لوگ عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہم کے پاس بیٹھے تھے، تو انہوں نے کہا: قسم ہے اللہ کی! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دوسرے لوگوں کی بہ نسبت ہمیں  ( یعنی بنی ہاشم کو )  کسی چیز کے ساتھ خاص نہیں کیا سوائے تین چیزوں کے ۱؎  ( پہلی یہ کہ )  آپ نے حکم دیا کہ ہم کامل وضو کریں،  ( دوسری یہ کہ )  ہم صدقہ نہ کھائیں، اور  ( تیسری یہ کہ )  ہم گدھوں کو گھوڑیوں پر نہ چڑھائیں۔
