أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى،‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِي بَكْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ فِي الْخَوْفِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ الْآخَرِينَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَصَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعًا .

Urdu Translation

ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کچھ لوگوں کو خوف کی نماز دو رکعت پڑھائی، پھر آپ نے سلام پھیر دیا، پھر آپ نے دوسرے لوگوں کو دو رکعت پڑھائی، پھر آپ نے سلام پھیر دیا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے چار رکعت پڑھی  ( اور لوگوں نے دو دو رکعت ) ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led the people in offering the fear prayer, two rak'ahs. Then he said the taslim and led others in offering the fear prayer, then he said the taslim. So the Prophet (ﷺ) had prayed four rak'ahs.
