أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَهِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْفَزَارِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي آخِرِ وِتْرِهِ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ،‏‏‏‏ وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ .

Urdu Translation

علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی وتر کے آخر میں یہ کلمات کہتے تھے: «اللہم إني أعوذ برضاك من سخطك وبمعافاتك من عقوبتك وأعوذ بك منك لا أحصي ثناء عليك أنت كما أثنيت على نفسك»  اے اللہ! میں تیری خوشی کی تیرے غصے سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں، تیرے بچاؤ کی تیری پکڑ سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں، اور میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں تجھ سے، میں تیری تعریف نہیں کر سکتا تو ویسے ہی ہے جیسے تو نے خود اپنی تعریف کی ہے ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Ali bin Abi Talib that: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say at the end of witr: Allahumma inni audhu bi ridaka min sakhatika wa bi mu'afatika min uqubatika, wa audhu bika minka la uhsi thana'an 'alayka, anta kama athwart ala nafsik ( O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. And I seek refuge in You from You; I cannot praise You enough; You are as You have praised Yourself.).
