أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَجَعَلْتُ أَكْشِفُ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَأَبْكِي وَالنَّاسُ يَنْهَوْنِي،‏‏‏‏ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا يَنْهَانِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَعَلَتْ عَمَّتِي تَبْكِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَبْكِيهِ مَا زَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تُظِلُّهُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا حَتَّى رَفَعْتُمُوهُ .

Urdu Translation

جابر بن عبداللہ بن حرام رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   ان کے والد غزوہ احد کے دن قتل کر دیئے گئے، میں ان کے چہرہ سے کپڑا ہٹانے اور رونے لگا، لوگ مجھے روک رہے تھے، اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نہیں روک رہے تھے، میری پھوپھی ( بھی ) ان پر رونے لگیں، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم ان پر مت روؤ، فرشتے ان پر برابر اپنے پروں سے سایہ کیے رہے یہاں تک کہ تم لوگوں نے اٹھایا ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir that his father was killed on the day of Uhud. He saide: I started to uncover his face, weeping. The people told me not to do that but the Messenger of Allah did not forbid me. My paternal aunt started to weep, and the Messenger of Allah said: 'Do not weep, for angels kept on shading him with their wings until you lifted him up. '
