أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ .

Urdu Translation

کعب بن عاصم رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: ”سفر میں روزہ رکھنا نیکی نہیں ہے“۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Kab bin 'Asim said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say; 'It is not righteousness to fast when traveling. '
