أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْنَا:‏‏‏‏ لَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِنِّي صَائِمٌ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک دن میرے پاس تشریف لائے اور پوچھا: ”تمہارے پاس ( کھانے کی ) کوئی چیز ہے؟“ ہم نے کہا: نہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تو میں روزہ سے ہوں“۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Aishah, the mother of the Believers, said: The Messenger of Allah came to me one day and said: 'Do you have anything (to eat) we said: 'No.' he said: 'Then I am fasting.
